Always remember what everything is for, which is forgiveness. 

  • Your forgiveness isn’t perfect, but it is persistent.  And as long as you do it, you’ll make good progress. 
  • The time you delay forgiveness simply contributes to your own suffering!
  • There is no substitute for practicing forgiveness, and that’s the spiritual “life in the fast lane.”
  • More forgiveness opportunities. That’s what will get you home fastest.

Repetition is important in practicing forgiveness.

  • It may look like you are forgiving the same thing over and over again.  What’s really happening is that more unconscious guilt is coming to the surface of your mind, and it’s a chance for you to release and be rid of it by continuing to forgive.

Do the best you can to practice forgiveness, knowing that the habit of application will result in spiritual experience.

  • “Love holds no grievances.”
    • Why is it possible to forgive some people and so difficult to forgive others?

Forgiveness is always a gift you’re giving to yourself, not the person you think you’re forgiving.

  • You’re the one who receives the benefits.

Undoing the ego – it’s only true forgiveness that undoes the ego.

  • All people do judging and condemning others is keep their own false ego identity in place as a result
  • But if they forgive (in the true sense of the word), then they undo the false ego identity and return to spirit.

“As you see him you will see yourself.” 

  • Whatever way you looked at and thought about another person would surely create how you experienced yourself and ultimately determine determine own identity as either spirit or a body.

“To hold a grievance is to forget who you are. To hold a grievance is to see yourself as a body.”

Course of Miracles
  • If you think the person you are seeing is a body, then you’re a body.  If you think the person you’re seeing is spirit, then you’re spirit. 
    • That’s how it will be translated by your own unconscious mind. 
    • There’s no getting away from that. 
  • The way you think of the other person determines how you will ultimately feel about yourself. 
  • We’re actually rejoining with ourself at the level of the mind when we forgive. 
    • We’re becoming whole again. 

If we forgive, we don’t suffer.  

  • If you forgive after just 1 minute instead of 30 minutes, then that’s 29 minutes of your life that you didn’t spend suffering.
