  • Acknowledge and then notice the feelings in your body
  • Notice the thoughts that go with these sensations
  • Notice your actions based on the thoughts
  • Challenge it by finding evidence against your automatic belief.

Dealing with these negative feelings

  • Bring your awareness to your body and do a body scan
    • Use your attention as a “flashlight” to scan your body and notice without judgement or commentary your feelings and sensations.
  • Take three full rounds of Breath
    • Notice the space between inhale/exhale
  • Listen to the sounds around you
  • Listen to the stories you are telling yourself at this moment.  Simply notice them without judgement.
  • Notice what you are telling yourself
  • Again notice the sensation in your body
  • Sense the life-force flowing through your body
