It’s better to love – Something magical happens when we generate love in our hearts, letting it overflow and radiate out into the world.
- We should seek opportunities in our life to love.
- It is always possible to cultivate more love in your life.
- Spend at least 15 minutes a day with your child, no matter their age.
- It is the same homework assignment for couples
We also have to let others love us. We have to accept their love and admit that we need their love.
- This means we have to be willing to feel vulnerable and dependent, and let others see us this way.
- Some of us are more comfortable and familiar with loving others than with being loved, and we find it embarrassing and frightening to be in the receiving role.
- We can learn to become more comfortable with the experience of being loved once we realize it doesn’t come naturally.
- “practice loving ourselves”
“Your task in not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

Choose Love – We have a wide range of emotional reactions to people, events, and things during a normal day.
- We get upset with rude drivers; we don’t like our lunch, etc.
- Just noticing the number of negative reactions we go through on a daily basis is a sobering practice.
- You can dislike something and still choose to experience love, instead of an automatic negative reaction.
Send Love – Breathe into your heart. Allow an expansive feeling of love to radiate in all directions.
- There is growing evidence that prayer makes a difference.
- People who are prayed for recover better from surgery, newborns gain weight, and even plants grow faster.
- Use visualization and subtle energy sensing in a nondenominational approach to prayer as a way to send love
Metta – is a traditional Buddhist term meaning “loving-kindness.”
- May all beings be happy, content, and fulfilled.
- May all being be healed and whole.
- May all have whatever they want and need.
- May all be protected from harm, and free from fear.
- May all beings enjoy inner peace and ease.
- May all being be awakened, liberated, and free.
- May there be peace in this world, and throughout the entire universe.
